We’re extremely excited to announce that Tinie Tempah and Laura Mvula will open this year’s EE British Academy Film Awards with a performance of Heroes.The song is featured is on Tempah’s second album Demonstration - click the link to watch it.
On opening the show, Mvula said that “It’s definitely a bit scary when I think about who will be there but we’re going to put everything into the performance and it’s a big song so it really lends itself to film.”

On writing the song, Tempah revealed that it ”was inspired by film scores and theme songs so I’m looking forward to showcasing what British music has to offer in front of the world’s film industry elite.”
Emeli Sandé, who famously performed at the opening and closing ceremonies of London 2012, is one of the co-writers of the song along with Tempah. Naughty Boy, who’s 2013 single La La La was the fifth biggest seller in the UK, produced the single with Craze and Hoax.
